Antony Gormley ‘Cinch’ 2013, stainless steel, north façade, Burlington Arcade, Burlington Gardens.
Gormley’s first work in solid stainless steel is perched up high on a parapet, silhouetted against the sky, reflecting the changing light and echoing the figures on Burlington House. Gormley says ‘this work is open to interpretation and conveys the idea of a human as a work in progress.’
This sculpture is on the Burnt Sienna Walk, just next to the Royal Academy Schools, Burlington Gardens (number 6 on the walk).
